INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The Principal/Senior Systems Analyst is a member of a team of information technology professionals accountable for implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics that enable capabilities related to purchasing, financials, and County employees. The Senior Systems Analyst applies Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance technology and third-party vendor solutions to provide products, solutions, data, and analytical services. Business offices and departments typically involved with these capabilities include Finance, Budget, IT, and various others.
Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary. Senior Systems Analyst: Generally, the hiring range is $97,485-$121,856 annually. Principal Systems Analyst: Generally, the hiring range is $109,362-$136,703 annually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Use in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance modules to provide effective solutions to the Finance and Payroll teams and to address business scenarios. Knowledge of the interdependency between modules is essential for making design decisions.
Keep abreast of new Microsoft Dynamics releases and applications and present opportunities for improvement to the business.
Provide support for all Microsoft Dynamics Finance functions.
Assist business units in the development and implementation of their strategic objectives, policies, procedures and standards.
Evaluate techniques and processes and make recommendations that will improve the team’s effectiveness and capabilities.
Understand, in depth, the business processes supported by assigned business software applications.
Analyze and document business users’ requirements, clarifying inconsistencies, conflicts, or ambiguities, to effectively model business processes in software.
Serve as the IT application owner of assigned business applications for their lifecycles.
Responsible for the configuration, development, testing and maintenance and documentation of business software applications.
Develop and maintain relations with 3rd party support and vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Senior Systems Analyst
A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
Five years’ experience implementing or supporting ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, SAP, Oracle, or similar. Covering core financial and operational modules (e.g., General Ledger, Budgeting, Procurement, Project Accounting, and reporting) is required.
Five years’ experience of platform development, configuration and support of COTS, SAAS or PAAS applications is preferred.
Two years’ experience working within waterfall or agile IT project methodologies is required.
Two years’ experience writing Structure Query Language (SQL) queries is preferred.
Proven experience in implementing and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems, including data migration, system configuration, and workflow development.
Software development / support experience is preferred.
Business analysis and financial analysis experience is preferred.
Project management and/or cross-functional team leadership experience is preferred.
A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Principal Systems Analyst
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university is required.
Ten years’ experience in an internally focused IT role supporting business applications is required.
Ten years’ experience of platform development, configuration, and support of Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Power Platform, or related applications is required.
Ten years’ experience working within Waterfall or Agile Methodologies is required.
Experience with local government business processes is preferred.
Software development / support experience is preferred.
Business analysis and financial analysis experience is preferred.
Project management and/or cross-functional team leadership experience is preferred.
ITIL certification, Prosci certification, Lean Six Sigma (or similar) certification are preferred.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Microsoft Power Platform certifications are preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
ITIL v3 (or higher) is preferred.
Agile Scrum Foundation is preferred.
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.

In the event of an emergency/disaster in or near the County, all County employees are expected to make every effort to be available to assist the County Manager, Elected/Appointed Officials and Department Directors to ensure the continued operation of any and all necessary County functions. In the event that an exempt employee does work more than 40 hours a week in support of County operations during an emergency, such employee may receive overtime or other appropriate wage compensation in accordance with existing County policies or at the discretion of the County.
