The University of South Dakota Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice ( DNAP ) Program is seeking two part‑time nurse anesthesiology faculty members. These faculty members will chair DNAP student projects and develop and deliver course content to DNAP students.
Additional responsibilities include:
Participating in admissions, progression, and graduation processes for the nurse anesthesiology track.
Verifying that graduates meet requirements to sit for the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists ( NBCRNA ) national certification exam.
Advising, counseling, disciplining, and remediating students as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ( CRNA ) in South Dakota or another compact state.
Current CRNA certification by the NBCRNA.
Member in good standing with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists ( AANA ).
Holds a doctoral degree or is actively pursuing one.
Faculty report directly to the Nurse Anesthesia Program Director. The positions are part‑time (30%) with the potential to increase to full‑time (100%) based on departmental needs and funding.
