Maintenance Technician – CNC & Automation Equipment Location :
Sterling Heights, MI
Type :
Full-Time
Shifts Available :
1st Shift – 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM
2nd Shift – 2 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM ($0.50 shift premium)
3rd Shift – 10 : 00 PM to 6 : 30 AM ($0.75 shift premium)
Pay Range :
$30 – $38 / hour (based on experience)
Schedule :
Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts + overtime as needed
About the Opportunity A precision manufacturing company in Warren, MI is hiring four experienced Maintenance Technicians to support CNC and automated production operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machinery, automation systems, and plant support equipment such as conveyors and grinders. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background, experience with CNC lathes, mills, and grinders, and hands‑on knowledge of FANUC controls.
What You’ll Do
Perform electrical and CNC machine repairs and mechanical alignments
Troubleshoot breakdowns on CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and FANUC automation systems
Maintain and repair support systems such as conveyors, elevators, and blenders
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on machines and plant facilities
Move and install machinery and automation components as needed
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and plant regulations
What You Bring
7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
5+ years of CNC machine repair experience (lathes, mills, grinders, FANUC preferred)
Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Comfortable working with high voltage (up to 460V 3-phase)
Knowledge of pipefitting, welding, and general machine alignment
Ability to work independently and support production under minimal supervision
Stable work history and strong reliability
