Job Description B&D Industrial seeks an experienced Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of machine tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance activities including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments on CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other production equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on machine tools.
Assist in the installation, dismantling, and relocation of machinery as needed.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Manage spare parts inventory and order replacement components as necessary.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
Assist in the training of operators on basic maintenance tasks.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
Hands‑on experience with machinery repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to operate machine tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
Good problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of industrial safety practices and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CNC machine tools, lathes, mills, and grinders.
Familiarity with PLC and control systems.
Welding and fabrication skills.
