August Roofing & Solar is seeking a driven, relationship-focused

B2B Business Development Manager

to help expand our presence within key commercial and professional markets. This is a

hands-on, field-driven role

About the Role The B2B Business Development Manager is responsible for generating

new booked revenue

by developing and managing relationships across targeted B2B verticals, including:

Property management companies (HOAs and multi-family)

General contractors

Custom home builders

Real estate professionals and brokerages

This role focuses on

early-stage relationship development, lead generation, and pipeline creation . While you will not be responsible for writing proposals or managing projects, you will own opportunity creation and ensure smooth handoff to internal sales and production teams.

Core Accountabilities

New B2B customer acquisition across all service areas

Lead generation and appointment setting resulting in booked revenue

Networking, meetings, tradeshows, and association involvement

Real estate relationship development

CRM activity and pipeline tracking in HubSpot

Key Responsibilities B2B Outreach & Relationship Development

Proactively identify and engage target B2B accounts, including HOAs, property managers, contractors, builders, and real estate professionals

Build long-term, trust-based relationships that generate recurring and referral-driven opportunities

Represent August Roofing & Solar at HOA meetings, networking events, industry functions, and community gatherings

Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and partners

Lead Generation & Appointment Setting

Generate qualified B2B opportunities through cold outreach, warm introductions, networking, and events

Schedule meetings and appointments for internal sales and estimating teams

Provide complete documentation and context to ensure smooth opportunity handoff

Maintain a steady pipeline aligned with annual booked revenue goals

Events, Tradeshows & Associations

Plan, execute, and staff company participation in tradeshows, expos, HOA events, and industry functions

Leverage tools and memberships such as CAI and ZoomInfo to identify high-value prospects

Track ROI from events, associations, and outreach efforts

Education & Brand Positioning

Deliver presentations, workshops, and educational sessions to position August Roofing & Solar as a trusted industry partner

Educate partners on roofing, solar, ProCare maintenance programs, and real estate inspection services

Present to real estate offices on inspection reports and service offerings

Consistently represent company values, professionalism, and brand standards

CRM, Reporting & Internal Alignment

Log all outreach, meetings, and opportunities in HubSpot in real time

Participate in weekly activity and pipeline review meetings

Track KPIs including outreach volume, meetings set, opportunities created, and booked revenue

Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to improve conversion outcomes

Provide market feedback on trends, competitors, and partnership opportunities

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in B2B business development, relationship-based sales, or partnerships

Experience with property management, HOAs, construction, or real estate strongly preferred

Strong networking, communication, and follow-up skills

Comfortable with cold outreach, in-person meetings, and event-driven lead generation

Highly self-directed with excellent time management and organization

CRM experience required (HubSpot preferred)

Results-driven mindset with accountability to activity and revenue goals

Performance Expectations (First Year)

Achieve

$3M+ in booked B2B revenue

Build a consistent, repeatable pipeline of qualified opportunities

Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM activity and reporting

Establish August Roofing & Solar as a trusted partner within targeted B2B communities

Deliver high-quality opportunities that convert efficiently through internal teams

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits

Base Salary:

$60,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)

Commission:

Performance-based ($20,000-$30,000 annual earning potential)
