Job Description
The laser operator safely performs laser cutting operations for a variety of manufacturing products. The role selects proper cutting programs, establishes correct fixture setups, and maintains laser and fixture alignment to ensure product quality and safety.
Report to work on time and maintain excellent attendance
Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized
Establish proper stop location and adjust laser beam focal point
Make proper set‑ups for cutting operations and perform all dimensional inspections
Perform prescribed maintenance as required
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor
May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require
Commitment to safety rules and continuous improvement
Qualifications / Requirements
Strong work ethic and self‑motivation
Previous experience in laser or CNC operation is a plus but will train the right person
Orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Basic dimensional measuring skills and quick learning of precision measurement tools
Basic shop math and computer skills
Blueprint reading capability
Efficient teamwork and coordination with other departments
Detail oriented, multi‑tasking ability, and strong lifting capacity (at least 50#)
