Laser Operator (Flat Laser) - 2nd shift Temp-Hire

Job Description The laser operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of manufacturing products. Performs typical laser cutting operations. Selects proper cutting programs and proper fixtures.

Report to work on time and excellent attendance

Keep the work area clean and safe

Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point

Make proper set-ups for cutting operations

Perform prescribed maintenance as required

Perform all dimensional inspections

Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor

May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require

Commitment to safety rules

Qualifications/Requirements

Strong work ethic

Previous experience is a plus but will train the right person

Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement

Helpful to have Laser or CNC operating background

Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools

Competent at basic shop math

Basic computer skills

Blueprint reading capability

Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments

Detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to multi-task

Must be able to safely lift at least 50#
