Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician provides general maintenance to the presses, cutters and finishing production lines to ensure they are working effectively including: Troubleshooting, Repairing, Installing, and Adjusting parts. This position works Monday-Thursday 1:45pm-11:45pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs routine maintenance checks on all equipment and follows preventative maintenance procedures
Ensures we are following proper procedures in regards to safety and OSHA regulations; administers lock-out tag-out procedures on any unsafe equipment that is in need of repairs
Supports the installation, development and startup of new processes
Properly documents procedures and maintain maintenance records
Maintain inventory and good repair of all assigned tools and equipment
Communicate essential information regarding incomplete repairs at shift change
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
3-5 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Technician or equivalent
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Knowledge of electrical power and control voltage
Troubleshooting PLC devices, printers and labeler; Pneumatic and hydraulic
Ability to read blueprints and schematic wiring diagrams
Basic computer and math skills
Forklift and scissor lift experience
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout shift
