Position Purpose The Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings, ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently. The Technician is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities, performs general electrical and mechanical repairs of equipment on company premises, conducts periodic inspections, and maintains all necessary equipment to perform work.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair trailers, restraint devices, dock leveling ramps, and dock doors.

Read and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and repair manuals.

Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.

Work directly with production associates and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that ensure maximum production efficiencies.

Observe mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.

Investigate electrical and mechanical equipment failures and develop action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.

Use the M-pulse Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to initiate purchase orders for parts and machines and document hours worked on applicable work orders.

Weld and perform sheet metal work; employ basic shop floor skills (lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools).

Install, move, and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.

Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and compliance programs.

Work toward achieving an injury‑free environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills and Qualifications \ Ability to work multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co‑workers.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Physical Demands

Stand, talk, and hear regularly.

Walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms frequently.

Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.

Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; 25 pounds frequently; more than 100 pounds occasionally.

Perform tasks while atop a scissor lift or boom lift on occasion.

Not have a fear of heights; be able to access the roof using a roof access ladder.

Work Environment

Move mechanical parts regularly.

Wet, humid, and cold conditions frequently.

High, precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, vibration occasionally.

Noise level usually loud.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.

6+ months maintenance and repair or related area experience.

Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.

Compensation Up to $30.00 per hour DOE.

Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
