Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to be our Area Marketing & Events Coordinator!

The Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating events while ensuring high level services to the customer from pre to post event. This position will recognise opportunities to maximise revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. The Marketing & Events Coordinator works hand in hand with other team members to ensure a seamless experience for customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Event Planning & Execution

Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing hotel and restaurant events (corporate meetings, weddings, social gatherings, promotional activations).

Prepare event documentation (BEOs, resumes, contracts, agendas), conduct pre-/post-event meetings, and ensure alignment across departments.

Keep CI/TY up to date throughout the event lifecycle.

Support event budgets, timelines, vendor coordination, and on-site logistics.

Conduct site inspections and assist with room block forecasting and billing reviews.

Serve as a liaison for clients during events, ensuring smooth delivery and issue resolution.

Creative & Collateral

Design and update restaurant menus, promotional flyers, in-house signage, and other print/digital assets; ensure all materials follow brand voice and visual identity.

Maintain a digital asset library (photography, logos, templates) and version control; coordinate with vendors for print production when needed.

Support F&B promotions by creating campaign toolkits (copy, graphics, media sizes) for paid/organic channels.

Social Media

Manage day-to-day publishing on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms for both hotel and restaurant; maintain an editorial calendar.

Monitor comments, DMs, and UGC; engage with followers and local partners to increase awareness and traffic.

Track platform analytics (reach, engagement, clicks, content saves) and report actionable insights to Sales/Revenue/F&B stakeholders.

Email Marketing

Plan, build, and send weekly newsletters highlighting stay offers, events, F&B specials, and loyalty content; manage lists and segmentation.

A/B test subject lines and content; review KPIs (open rate, CTR, revenue attribution) and recommend optimizations.

Online Reputation & Review Sites

Manage and update hotel/restaurant profiles on Google, TripAdvisor, OpenTable, and other platforms (photos, menus, hours, descriptions, offers).

Monitor reviews daily; draft timely, on-brand responses in collaboration with Operations and F&B leadership; elevate service issues and track sentiment trends.

Coordinate OpenTable promotions and special event listings; ensure accurate menu and reservation details for campaigns.

Web, Third-Party & Brand Governance

Maintain accuracy of content on property websites and third-party channels; partner with eCommerce/brand teams to ensure brand integrity and pull-through of corporate promotions.

Act as a brand guardian for copy and design across all guest touchpoints.

Cross-Functional Support & Reporting

Collaborate with Sales & Revenue to align marketing tactics with occupancy, ADR, and restaurant covers; participate in weekly commercial huddles.

Prepare concise monthly dashboards covering social, email, web, and reputation metrics; highlight wins and next-step optimizations.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field.

1–2 years of experience in marketing and/or event coordination (hospitality preferred).

Proficiency in Canva/Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms.

Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
