Position : ESL Teacher Location : California Employment Type : Full-time Start Date : ASAP Total Hours Per Week : 35 hours Duration : New School Year 2025-26 Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and deliver engaging English language instruction tailored to students’ proficiency levels. Implement lessons that integrate listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds of students. Assess student progress using formal and informal assessments and adjust instruction accordingly. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student growth and language development. Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages risk-taking in language learning. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports. Stay current with best practices in ESL education and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field required. Master’s degree in TESOL or Education preferred. Valid California Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization (CLAD TESOL or equivalent) required. Previous experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) in a school setting preferred. Strong communication, cultural competency, and interpersonal skills. Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for language instruction. How to Apply
