Maintenance Technician

Are you a skilled problem-solver who enjoys working with your hands? The Boardwalk Family of Restaurants, a leading restaurant and hospitality group on Put-in-Bay, Ohio, is looking for a dedicated and reliable Seasonal Maintenance Technician to keep our island operations running smoothly!
This critical role involves maintaining the excellent condition of our various restaurant locations and our employee housing units.
Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative care across our properties. A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a small maintenance vehicle (like a golf cart) are essential. Restaurant Maintenance
Perform routine repairs on kitchen equipment (e.g., basic refrigeration checks, fryer maintenance) Handle minor plumbing repairs (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing leaky faucets, toilet repairs). Execute minor electrical work (e.g., replacing light fixtures). Conduct general upkeep, including painting and staining. Assist with seasonal opening and closing tasks (e.g., preparing patios, winterizing lines). Employee Housing Maintenance
Respond promptly to maintenance requests within company-owned employee housing units. Perform turnover tasks between employee arrivals and departures (e.g., minor cleaning, touch-up painting, simple furniture repairs). Ensure all units are safe, functional, and meet company standards. Grounds & Exterior
General groundskeeping (e.g., clearing walkways, minor landscaping, trash removal). Inspect and repair exterior structures, fencing, and signage. What We’re Looking For
Proven Skills: Experience performing general building maintenance, plumbing, and minor electrical tasks. Problem-Solver: Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and prioritize repairs efficiently. Reliability: Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions. Availability: Must be available for the entire season (April – October) including weekends and holidays. Reliability is non-negotiable. The Perks
