DESCRIPTION: Visual Sound is seeking an experienced

Field Service A/V Engineer

to join our Broomall, PA office. This role is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, re-installing, and maintaining A/V equipment, in addition to installing and servicing systems in the most efficient and effective manner to minimize downtime and achieve max performance. The Field Engineer is also accountable for communicating system performance to the customer and our Service or Installation Departments.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Technical Operations team performing installation and system commissioning work as needed

Field Commissioning of AV Systems and other Engineering related duties

Travel to client sites and occasional out-of-town travel as necessary

The final commissioning of audio-visual equipment, including, but not limited to audio DSPs, CODECs, switchers, control systems, VTC systems, and video processors

Create user guides and train end users on how to use their A/V control systems

Refine current processes, develop a better workflow, and make recommendations

Clear communication, documentation and organization of paperwork, tools and company vehicle

Work closely with the Technical Operations team, the Installation Manager and the Manager of AV Integration while assuring a professional and safe working environment

Other duties as required or assigned by company management

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred

Minimum two years of AV experience is preferred

A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience

Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence etc.) both hardware and software

AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred
