Job Summary: A Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance functions for crews in selected plant areas, maintaining equipment records, managing the maintenance budget, and collaborating with Production and Maintenance departments.
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
10+ years of experience in an extrusion facility or 5+ years of maintenance experience.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
High degree of knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes.
Technical understanding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Job Responsibilities:
Apply predictive, proactive and preventative measures to evaluate and monitor equipment.
Effectively schedule available manning (work hours) on a daily and weekly basis.
Analyze and estimate cost, manning, logistics of overhauls, major projects and planned work.
Maximize process capacity by interfacing with Drafting, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Control, Purchasing, Warehousing and Operations.
Work jointly with plant reliability leader in reliability‑based maintenance techniques for continuously improved equipment performance.
Handle work order processing (define scope, estimate job, work hours, purchase parts, schedule, initiate, follow up and close).
Maintain equipment history utilizing the CMMS and other records such as drawings and files.
