Assistant Manager, Amazon Fresh Stores - Amazon We are seeking an Assistant Manager to bring Amazon’s customer obsession to life in a grocery environment. You will direct day‑to‑day store operations and lead a team of engaged grocery associates to deliver a unique shopping experience for customers. Your role is vital to maintaining a vibrant store culture built on customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, safety, and fun. Key Responsibilities Act as the manager on duty, focusing on results while fostering a positive customer and employee experience. Manage a team of associates – set expectations, manage performance, provide feedback, support career development. Delegate effectively to drive results – execute standard operating procedures, identify improvement areas, implement solutions, and provide ongoing feedback. Maintain a culture of engagement by listening to feedback from leaders, associates, and customers and implementing solutions. Identify opportunities, determine root causes, and seek support to implement continuous improvement solutions to enhance overall performance and culture. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure store environment protecting employees, customers, and products. Work in a physical environment, lifting up to 49 lbs and staying on feet during shifts. Work a flexible schedule – weekends, nights, holidays. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of leadership experience in a customer‑facing retail, hospitality, or grocery environment, or 2+ years of Amazon experience, or a bachelor’s degree. Minimum age 18. Preferred Qualifications Experience working independently with minimal supervision. Experience using data and metrics to back assumptions and implement solutions. Compensation ranges from $47,500 to $82,700 per year depending on market location. Pay is based on factors such as market location and candidate experience.
