The City of Charles City is seeking a dependable, hands-on professional to work in our Water Treatment Plant and water distribution system. This role plays a vital part in providing safe, reliable water to every home and business in the community.
Pay:
Starting at
$23.08/hour
Up to
$29.61/hour
with Iowa DNR Water Operator certification (training supported)

What You’ll Do:
Operate and maintain the water treatment plant
Maintain and repair the city’s water distribution system
Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues
Perform physical work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week with excellent benefits
Monday-Friday; 7AM-3:30 PM
On-call rotation: one week on, two weeks off (24/7 availability during on-call week)
