Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Shift: 4/ 10s

3rd 8pm - 6:30 am

Lab Tech 1

Responsibilities

Uphold Food Safety

Finished product sample collection, labeling, and storage.

Finished product analytical testing (pH, Titratable Acidity, evaluating container closures, container integrity, container coding, carton coding, and reporting deviation from specified parameters for adjustment by line mechanics and alerting Quality Assurance staff for correction)

Calibration and adjustment of laboratory equipment

Cooler water sample collection and testing.

Sensory evaluation of product.

Follow all plant policies including all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Records quality data by completing score sheet information according to procedures

Gathers information by printing computer generated score sheets to record information of inspection outcomes on scheduled time basis.

Maintains confidence and protects the organization by keeping information confidential and disclosing only on a need to know per company policy.

All other tasks as assigned.

Conduct quality control inspections and tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.

Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, to perform accurate measurements.

Document and report any non-conforming products or materials, and work with the appropriate teams to address and resolve issues.

Assist in the development and implementation of quality management systems and procedures.

Conduct quality audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Follow established protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of materials in accordance with FDA regulations.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other quality assurance activities.

Qualifications / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Proven experience working in a quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Strong knowledge of quality systems, processes, and procedures.

Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Familiarity with quality control techniques and methodologies.

Understanding of QA/QC principles and practices.

Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
