Suwannee County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for

RECREATION SUPERVISOR This is a fulltime administrative and professional position that works under limited supervision with the Parks & Recreation Department. An employee in a position allocated to this class will plan, coordinate, conduct, evaluate, and supervise recreational and seasonal programs to include youth and adult sports leagues, special events, concessions, summer day camp and aquatics. Coordinates, supervises, and evaluates part time and seasonal staff as well as volunteer coaches and officials. Performs routine office duties as required.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Recreation or a related field. A minimum of three years’ experience in the recreation field or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted. Requires general knowledge and the ability to operate computers and software applications. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license. Must obtain and maintain Certified Youth Sports Administration (CYSA) certification within one year of hire. Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification preferred. Minimum salary is $24.43 per hour, based on qualifications and experience, plus a generous benefits package.
