We are seeking a Parking Ambassador for Dollywood Parks who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand.
We want to work alongside someone who acts as an extension of our mission, values, and culture. This individual is driven to create meaningful experiences for our hosts, guests, and community while ensuring the success and profitability of our unique offerings. They also bring fun, authenticity, collaboration, creativity, and genuine hospitality to their life and work. The right Parking Ambassador will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
Parking Ambassadors are responsible for ensuring Dollywood’s guests have a seamless and welcoming experience into the parking lots of both Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country by directing cars into the appropriate parking lots, validating purchases of premium parking types, maintaining the cleanliness of parking areas, and assisting with the Tram loading process.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Greets Guests and initiate friendly interaction. Provide Guest excellence, which exceeds expectations
Effectively uses empowerment to ensure Dollywood’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy is implemented
Reacts calmly and quickly in stressful/emergency situations
Physically assists Guests throughout the area as required
Effectively performs in the role of Parking Facilitator to include (but not limited to):
Consistently observes areas of responsibility to ensure smooth flow of traffic
Maintains a high level of attention to detail, ensuring areas of responsibility are clear of debris, appealing, and professional appearance
Assists in the placement of cones, barricades and directional signage throughout the parking lots as designated by PIC’s
Directs traffic into designated parking lots safely and efficiently by using clear/concise hand signals as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures
Completes daily written reports and turn in any necessary paperwork to Parking PIC
Maintains a sense of urgency toward area of operation to reduce Guest wait time
Assists with other areas in parking as needed/requested by Management
Wears and maintains a themed costume issued by Dollywood
Operates vehicles/work each position in all weather conditions
Performs special projects as directed by Management
Attends all required Training Classes and Meetings
Complies with safety and security directives, policies and procedures to ensure Hosts/Guests safety at all times
Maintains confidentiality at all times
Follows all safety standards to include reporting any violation of standards
Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
Education and Experience Required:
Must be at least 16 years of age
Basic computer skills
May be required to provide a copy of personal driving record from home state
Must have less than three (3) traffic violations on record in the last three (3) years
Must not have a DUI conviction in the past 15 years on record
Applicants for positions that involve driving Guests or Hosts must pass a post-offer vision test that complies with DOT requirements
Must successfully complete a pre-employment offer a background check including motor vehicle and drug screen
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able to project Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work
Must be self‑motivated and disciplined
Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis

Ability to tolerate a wide range of climate and temperature variations in order to work indoors and out, in all seasons and weather conditions
Able to comprehend instructions and retain information
Able to learn additional ticketing system functions
Ability to move about and react quickly in emergency situations
Able to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays
Give two weeks’ notice for requested days off and have all necessary schedule changes approved by leadership
Ability to tolerate stress due to job responsibilities and serious consequences of making an error
Able to operate a fire extinguisher
Able to tolerate detergents and chemicals
Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities
Able to lift 50 lbs
Must be willing to perform other work functions as assigned
Must have valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance
Above average attention to detail and accuracy of information
Minimum of 18 years of age is required when/as:
Ride Operators at rides designated as High Thrill Attractions (as defined by IAAPA standards)
Any activity with use of a motor vehicle to include trams and shuttles
Drive vehicles operated exclusively on rails
Work on or ascend lift hills whether in training, normal operations, or evacuations
