Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients according to physician orders and established policies. Provide nursing services within the RN scope defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Commit to a minimum number of hours in a designated inpatient department. Compensation is a flat rate based on experience. Work Performed
Plan, provide, supervise, and document care using the nursing process. Use judgment to individualize care based on assessment. Delegate and supervise licensed and unlicensed providers. Serve as team leader or charge nurse for assigned patient groups or units. Maintain the care environment, including equipment and materials. Engage in professional development, teach patients and families, and support precepting. Participate in practice improvement and perform related duties as described. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of RN, LPN, and unlicensed staff scope; nursing process; professional theory and practice. Ability to assess patient needs, seek resources, collaborate, establish effective relationships, communicate clearly, teach, process and prioritize information, use fine motor skills, maintain BLS/SNC certification, document and communicate via computer or paper. Knowledge of infection control, regulatory requirements, and capacity for prolonged standing and walking. Minimum Qualifications (EEO Statement)
