Project Overview Craig Technologies is supporting Bechtel, the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program. The program modernizes the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel’s scope of service in Sentinel’s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

Job Summary In this role, you will participate in the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. You will collaborate and support other engineering disciplines for mechanical matters. Your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques and criteria will enable you to make impactful contributions to the team.

Major Responsibilities Level 1

Participates in the design, development, modification and evaluation of mechanical components and processes using relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs).

Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing relevant EDPs, design standards and guides, and BSAPs.

Provides input to and/or maintains technical logs and records.

Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines.

Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for mechanical related matters.

Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested.

Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.

Level 2

Evaluates, selects, and applies standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.

Provides technical assistance to other mechanical personnel and interacts with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in resolving complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards.

Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project mechanical requirements and addressing issues as they arise during project execution.

Education and Experience Requirements Level 1 Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering with 1-2 years of experience.

Level 2 Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Passed Engineering in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering Examination in the USA (Mechanical or related Engineering).

Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as AS9100.

Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.

Basic knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or Unified Facilities Guide Specifications using SpecsIntact.

Basic knowledge of mechanical system design, including sizing and equipment selection, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and requirements verification.

Salary The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $155,000; however, Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including role and associated responsibilities, candidate work experience, education/training, and preferred skills and knowledge.
