Location: Carlisle Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary ongoing Hourly Rate: £13.64p/h We’re recruiting for a maintenance technician to join a well-established business park in Carlisle. This is a hands-on role where you will help maintain high standards across the site, ensuring buildings, grounds, and facilities remain safe, clean, and fully operational. Temporary work with consistent hours Supportive and friendly working environment Varied role with plenty of hands-on tasks Opportunity to develop skills and experience Key responsibilities: Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across buildings and grounds Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and resolve them promptly Handle minor repairs including electrical, plumbing, joinery, and basic HVAC work Support infrastructure tasks, including drainage, basic civil work, and general repairs Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and on-site management Maintain clear records of work completed and report significant issues Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively Assist with landscaping duties, bin emptying and litter collection Work with external contractors when specialist work is required Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health and safety regulations About you: Previous maintenance or facilities experience is essential Good knowledge of joinery, plumbing, and general building maintenance Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to detail Reliable, hardworking and able to manage your own workload Confident communicating with tenants, colleagues and contractors Able to work independently as well as part of a team Full UK driving license required If you are a practical, hardworking team player looking for ongoing work, we would love to hear from you.
