Base pay range $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to support our daily financial operations. This is a crucial part-time position (approximately 4 hours per day to start) ideal for an experienced professional looking for a flexible schedule and the opportunity to contribute immediately to a dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities Journal Entries: Accurately prepare, verify, and post daily and periodic journal entries into the accounting system. Account Reconciliations: Complete timely and precise reconciliations of various accounts, ensuring the general ledger balances match supporting documentation. Cash Receipts Processing: Daily recording and maintenance of accurate records for all cash receipts, specifically premiums received . Cash Management Support: Assist with routine daily cash management tasks, including tracking and reporting, and perform other assigned duties to support the finance team. Data Integrity: Ensure all financial data entry is performed with the highest level of accuracy and compliance. Accounting Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of basic accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, accruals). Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Excel: Proficient skills are required for data manipulation and reconciliation support. Accounting Software: Proven experience with general ledger software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems). Experience: Previous professional accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred. Soft Skills Accuracy & Detail: Demonstrated high attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy. Independence: Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet established deadlines in a part-time capacity.
