$86,320 - $115,000 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overview A well-established healthcare facility in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a skilled and motivated MRI Technician to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. This full-time role is critical in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with clinical standards. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide range of MRI procedures using sound independent judgment and technical proficiency Ensure safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot MRI equipment and imaging systems including PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, and DR Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and infection control standards Participate in ongoing education, training, and required competency validations May assist with mentoring, training, or supervisory responsibilities as needed
Qualifications Completion of an AMA-approved MRI program CPR certification required ARRT (MR) certification required within two years of hire Massachusetts Radiography License preferred ARRT (RTR) certification preferred Student training in MRI or Diagnostic Radiology accepted as minimum experience
Required Skills & Competencies Proficiency in MRI technology and related imaging systems (PACS, HIS, RIS) Ability to work independently in a high-pressure clinical environment Strong attention to detail with a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
