About the Role
The Director – Tax leads global tax reporting, compliance, and strategic tax planning for a complex, multi-jurisdictional organization. This role oversees tax returns, transfer pricing, and legal entity rationalization initiatives, and partners closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors. This position is central to shaping the company’s tax strategy and supporting ongoing business growth and transformation.
Responsibilities
Lead global tax reporting, compliance, and planning activities across multiple jurisdictions
Oversee preparation and review of tax returns, transfer pricing documentation, and related filings
Advise on international tax matters related to entity consolidation, internal reorganizations, and M&A
Lead or support legal entity rationalization projects in partnership with Finance and Legal
Manage global tax audits, including direct interaction with tax authorities
Support business transactions, including mergers, integrations, asset dispositions, and wind-downs
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, and local statutory reporting requirements
Coordinate and oversee external tax advisors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective support
Monitor international tax law developments and assess business impact
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on tax strategy and risk management
Qualifications
CPA, JD, or equivalent professional qualification
10+ years of progressive tax experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Deep expertise in US and international tax, transfer pricing, and cross-border structuring
Experience leading or supporting complex legal entity rationalization initiatives
Direct experience managing tax audits across multiple countries
Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP, statutory GAAP)
Proven ability to manage outside advisors and lead complex projects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
