Vice President of Infrastructure
who is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and operational excellence of the company’s internal IT environment. This role ensures secure, scalable, and resilient technology foundations that enable corporate growth, operational performance, and employee productivity.
The VP leads infrastructure strategy development, cybersecurity alignment, asset and licensing governance, and enterprise platform operations across HR, Contracts, Finance, Business Development, and Delivery teams. As an internal-facing executive, this role drives modernization, cost stewardship, and business-aligned digital enablement while strengthening the organization’s readiness for growth and compliance requirements (including CMMC, CMMI, and ISO).
Responsibilities Infrastructure, Cloud, and Core Technology Services
Provide strategic direction and executive oversight for enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, and core corporate technology platforms
Lead the design, operation, and evolution of enclave environments, including Microsoft GCC High, Commercial Cloud, and on-premises systems
Own corporate cloud services strategy, including cloud governance, cost management (FinOps), security posture, scalability, and service availability
Direct network engineering, identity and access management, endpoint lifecycle management, and device security
Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance
Serve as or oversee ISSO responsibilities, including security risk management, incident preparedness, response coordination, and continuous monitoring
Ensure alignment with cybersecurity and maturity frameworks, including CMMC, ISO, and CMMI practices
Partner with internal audit, compliance, and external assessors to support GovCon business system audits and readiness activities
Hardware, Software, and Asset Management
Establish and govern enterprise-wide hardware asset management across the full lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and disposal)
Lead software asset management (SAM) and licensing governance to ensure compliance, transparency, and cost optimization
Maintain accurate asset inventories, entitlement tracking, and usage analytics to support audits, renewals, and budget forecasting
Manage technology vendor relationships, renewals, SLAs, performance metrics, and strategic sourcing decisions
Enterprise Systems & Service Operations
Oversee reliable operations of enterprise systems including HRIS, ERP/financial systems, CRM, collaboration, productivity, and knowledge management platforms
Establish and mature ITIL-aligned service desk operations, including incident, request, problem, and change management
Define service level objectives (SLOs), reliability KPIs, customer satisfaction metrics, and continuous service improvement initiatives
Ensure the service desk and support model scales effectively with workforce growth and distributed delivery environments
Strategy, Financial Stewardship, and Governance
Develop and execute the IT infrastructure and corporate technology strategy, including long-term capacity planning and modernization roadmaps
Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial stewardship for internal IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise platforms
Track ROI and optimize cost structure through rationalization, consolidation, automation, and disciplined tool adoption
Partner with executive leadership to prioritize IT initiatives based on risk, value, lifecycle health, and business alignment
Innovation, R&D, and Technology Governance
Provide executive oversight and governance for internal R&D and innovation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy and risk tolerance
Evaluate emerging technologies (including AI-enabled tools, automation, and analytics) for internal adoption and operational impact
Co-lead Kentro’s Technology Review Board (TRB), ensuring architectural standards, security reviews, and disciplined technology adoption
Drive responsible experimentation while preventing tool sprawl, shadow IT, and unmanaged technical debt
Provide executive oversight of AI and automation initiatives, ensuring strong data governance, privacy protection, security controls, and regulatory compliance while enabling responsible productivity gains
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, develop, and mentor infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, service desk, and cloud operations teams
Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure digital tools and infrastructure fully enable corporate operations, compliance, and mission delivery
Location:
Hybrid in Tysons Corner, VA. Must be local to the DMV area and able to work onsite at our corporate HQ at least 50% of the time.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
15+ years of progressive IT infrastructure leadership supporting federal government contracting environments
Demonstrated expertise in CMMC, ISO, CMMI, and ISSO responsibilities
Proven leadership operating in enclave environments (e.g., GCC High, segmented cloud/on‑prem networks)
Strong experience with enterprise SaaS platforms, software licensing governance, and asset management
Successful track record developing IT strategies, budgets, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives
Experience managing complex technology vendor contracts, cloud services, and enterprise asset portfolios
Familiarity with GovCon business system audits (DCAA, CPSR)
Familiarity with ITIL or equivalent experience implementing IT service management practices
Exceptional communication, executive reporting, and stakeholder partnership skills
Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCSP, or similar preferred
Clearance Requirements
Secret or above preferred, but not required
