PeopleCert is currently looking for a dynamic and experienced
Head of Construction & Facilities
to join our team. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of construction projects and facility management, ensuring that all works are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. The Head of Construction & Facilities manages the Facilities Team responsible for performing routine daily operations tasks including, but not limited to, maintaining PeopleCert’s buildings and serve as a liaison between the company and outside contractors.
As a Head of Construction and Facilities, your tasks will include the following:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
Develop and implement comprehensive project schedules and budgets, monitoring progress against established targets.
Oversee the maintenance, operation, and improvement of company facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Manage contracts and relations with architects, contractors, and other professionals, ensuring compliance with all regulations and quality standards.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the construction and facilities departments, promoting best practices in health and safety.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure facility modifications meet operational needs and compliance standards.
Lead, motivate, and develop the construction and facilities teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
What we look for:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction and facilities management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent command of English is required (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus).
Analytical skills and an eye for detail.
Interpersonal and commercial skills.
Ability to build relationships at all levels with ease; ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
