Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) – Phlebotomist Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting Phlebotomists who collect blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients according to established standards and practices. Phlebotomists are responsible for ensuring the quality of the blood specimens taken, delivering specimens for processing and using hospital computer programs to input and retrieve laboratory order information. Responsibilities Collect blood specimens from inpatients and outpatients following established protocols. Ensure specimen quality and accuracy prior to receipt by the laboratory. Deliver specimens to the laboratory and use hospital computer programs to input and retrieve laboratory order information. Qualifications Six (6) months of full-time equivalent venipuncture experience in a medical environment. Current State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT‑1 or CPT‑2) license issued by the Department of Public Health. Excellent communication skills while working with patients and explaining the phlebotomy process. Adaptability to changes in assignments, schedules and priorities in a positive manner. Availability to work 12‑hour shifts, variable shifts, weekends and holidays.
