Overview Immediate vacancies exist throughout the Hospital. The Arrowhead Regional Medical Center New Graduate Nurse Residency Program is a 7-month training program designed to prepare new graduate nurses (nurses with less than one (1) year of RN experience) for their transition into the professional nursing role. The track focuses on Critical Care, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, and Emergency Department, and includes virtual didactic learning, live workshops, coaching seminars, and mentoring opportunities with monthly cohort workshops. The goal is to ease the transition from student nurse to professional nurse.

Responsibilities / What You Will Do

Provide patient-centered and compassionate nursing care to our diverse patient population in accordance with our nursing philosophy.

Integrate evidence-based practice with everyday clinical practice.

Demonstrate increased competency in nursing including clinical knowledge, communication, critical thinking, professionalism and technical skills.

Successfully transition from a new graduate nurse to a professional nurse.

Program Details The ARMC New Graduate Nurse Residency Program includes the following: virtual didactic learning with evidence-based e-courseware content, live workshops and coaching seminars; mentoring opportunities with monthly cohort workshops and seminars; and a focus on easing the transition from student to professional nurse.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to demonstrate the above outcomes and continue into the professional nursing role.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Recent RN Graduates are welcome to apply, but NCLEX must be completed on or before February 1, 2026, and proof of exam completion must be submitted by February 1, 2026. Those unable to show confirmation will not move forward in the selection process.

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is desired.

Applicants must meet all listed requirements and may be subject to background checks, drug testing, and verification of employment history and education.

Note: ARMC Registered Nurse I must be promoted to a journey-level classification upon successful completion of the trainee period (e.g., preceptorship, orientation, and/or certification, as applicable). Refer to the MOU for additional information.
