AtWork is hiring: Battery Technician (UPS Power Systems) in New York

General Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician with expertise in UPS, ELI, and -48VDC battery systems to handle installations, maintenance, testing, and decommissioning. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and ensuring seamless operation of critical power systems. Must have UPS Power Systems experience. Responsibilities: Install, maintain, test, upgrade, and decommission battery systems. Perform preventative maintenance and battery change-outs (BCOs). Safely isolate batteries for repair and maintenance. Complete Field Service Reports (FSRs) and communicate equipment status to customers. Provide customer training on Critical Power Systems when needed. Review procedures, drawings, and manuals prior to job site visits. Maintain company-provided tools, vehicles, and test equipment. Supervise OEM technicians and subcontractors on key customer sites. Submit weekly timesheets and expense reports. Monitor job schedules and update records in software management suite. Maintain positive and professional customer relationships. Required Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge and experience working with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems. Proven experience in field service work. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for power-source equipment. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in high-pressure environments. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
