*Overview*
The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services, assessments, and treatment planning to individuals experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges. This role involves conducting clinical evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
*Duties*
* Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. * Conduct patient assessments and document observations accurately in medical records. * Provide direct support to patients, including crisis intervention and behavior management. * Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. * Engage in therapeutic activities including art therapy, dance therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. * Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information. * Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop effective case management strategies for patients.
*Requirements*
* Masters degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. * Experience in mental health counseling or related fields is preferred. * Familiarity with crisis management techniques and patient care best practices. * Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and behavioral health principles. * Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and diverse populations. * Understanding of various therapeutic modalities including grief counseling, addiction counseling, and PTSD care. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating empathy and patience towards patients. * Certification or training in relevant areas such as applied behavior analysis or clinical research is a plus. Base Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
