Title: Phlebotomist I Location: 1370, E Venice Ave Ste 103, Venice, Florida, United States, 34285 Duration: 4 months FVE - Venice PSC Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm Saturday: 7:00am - 12:00pm Note: FVE is closed on Saturdays. Employees will work at F6B - Venice Walmart. Description: The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, providing support during health routines or health-related decisions. Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices. Creates a trusting environment with patients by explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately. Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Performs daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor. Maintains a safe and professional environment. Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, adhering to established procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Job Requirements: Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington). Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience required; 1+ years preferred. Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required.
