Position: Phlebotomist I

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay range: $19.10 – $22.00 per hour. Salary offers are based on qualifications, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible for annual performance bonus.

Job Description
Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination will be required.
This position requires a state phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).
Responsibilities:
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions as trained.
Research test/client information and verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems.
Navigate a computer and accurately enter data – a requirement for success.
Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required.
Perform non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as needed.
Maintain all phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance logs, temperature logs) timely and according to frequency.
Complete online and in‑person training courses promptly.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
State phlebotomy license; Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV.
Position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
