Overview MSA - The Safety Company is hiring a part‑time Facilities Janitor and Maintenance Worker in Auburn, Maine. The role involves cleaning support for a manufacturing plant, with a dedication to safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities 1st Shift – Part time – 24‑28 hours per week, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday‑Thursday. Clean interior of buildings: floors, carpet, rugs, windows, walls using floor scrubbers, vacuums, carpet cleaning machines. Disinfect common items: desks, door handles, office tools, phones. Maintain cleaning inventory and notify management for replacements. Empty trash and recycling bins. Monitor and refill bathroom supplies. Use forklift to empty trash receptacles. Perform minor facilities repairs: floor tape replacement, wall painting, light bulb replacement, toilet unclogging. Remove sewing debris from manufacturing equipment wheels. Other duties as directed by management. Qualifications Read, write, and speak English. Stand on feet for full shift, reach, bend, stoop, twist as needed. Lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Wear required PPE. Operate floor scrubber, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and forklift once trained. Climb stairs. Work around cleaning chemicals. Preferred 1‑2 years of cleaning experience.
