About the role
Join our advanced materials manufacturing team as a skilled Carbon Fiber Technician. The role involves hands‑on handling, weaving, doffing, splicing, and creel operations to ensure efficient, high‑quality production of carbon fiber materials.
Key responsibilities
Troubleshoot equipment; identify root causes and take corrective action.
Perform general upkeep on equipment to improve reliability, process, and product consistency.
Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to exceed result targets.
Carbon Fiber Handling: Safely manage and transport materials, ensuring integrity and minimizing contamination.
Doffing: Remove finished rolls or packages from winders, label and prepare them for the next stage.
Splicing: Perform manual or mechanical splicing to ensure continuous operation.
Creel Operations: Set up, load, and maintain creels to supply fiber to processing machines.
Conduct routine inspections and quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Maintain accurate production records and follow all safety protocols.
Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve issues and optimize processes.
Qualifications
3+ years of proven experience in carbon fiber or textile manufacturing (handling, weaving, doffing, splicing, and creel operations).
High school diploma or GED required.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Experience working safely in a fast‑paced, safety‑sensitive environment.
Ability to read, interpret, and suggest improvements from work instructions (SOPs).
Measurement competencies (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, indicators, etc.).
Experience with hand tools in cutting and other applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with strong communication skills.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting competencies.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
Ability to operate computer and related systems effectively.
Physical requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 12+ hours per day.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Work at heights and close proximity to team members.
Demonstrate strong hands‑on skills and dexterity.
Complete and pass essential function pre‑employment screening.
Respirator fit required.

Competitive salary from $25.00 to $31.36 per hour (+$0.75 shift premium) based on experience.
