Title: Systems Analyst IV Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 1 year
The main function of a Systems Analyst is to evaluate and improve IT systems to meet business needs and enhance operational efficiency. A typical Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing system requirements, designing solutions, and coordinating with technical teams to implement and support system changes.
This position supports the SAP PM/SM & PS modules, providing technical expertise for projects, system enhancements, and production support. It also involves collaborating with other SAP ABAP and configuration groups such as SAP-CCS, SAP-MM, SAP-FI, and SAP-BW.
Job Responsibilities
Hands‑on functional configuration and design with SAP EAM (PM/SM and PS)
Full life‑cycle implementation of SAP EAM: gathering requirements, workshops, gap analysis, blueprinting, design, configuration, testing, cutover, data migration, go‑live, training, and post‑go‑live support
Contribute to the implementation and execution of SAP EAM/Plant Maintenance processes: assess current state, identify customer requirements, define future state or business solution
Transform detailed requirements into complete system design documents and implement in SAP
Capture business capability, functional requirements, and expected service levels from the business unit; map EAM solutions to actionable business‑IT roadmaps
Support BU leadership in identifying emerging technology opportunities and provide advisory on impacts
Ensure business and functional requirements are maintained throughout development/configuration
Maintain strong understanding of technology needs and solutions for the business units
Liaison between client, vendors, project management, and technical team on questions, issues, and solution architecture revisions
Manage engagement risk, economics, planning, budgeting, accounts receivable, deliverable content, and business owner buy‑in
Guide fit/gap analysis and design decisions, validate decisions, and ensure deviations from “out of the box” functionality have business justification and value proposition
Provide consulting services on new implementations and existing support projects
Provide ad‑hoc training and user support as required
Work self‑directed and independently; may mentor junior members
Your Background Includes
10+ years of designing, customizing, testing, implementing, and managing enterprise asset management solutions/systems
Experience in a minimum of 2 full‑cycle greenfield/brownfield SAP implementations
Experience converting new acquisitions/mergers into current platforms
Experience with current technology implementation patterns
Strong, persuasive communication and presentation skills
Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas—both verbally and in written form—to technical and non‑technical peers
S/4 EAM experience
Agile Scrum experience
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required. 10 years of experience.
