We are offering a $2,000 sign‑on bonus for all Maintenance Mechanic roles. As a Maintenance Mechanic II at Behr, you will play a critical role in keeping our equipment and processes running safely and efficiently. You’ll leverage strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues, using a variety of tools including soldering equipment, drills, measuring devices, and hand tools. You will perform reactive repairs and proactive preventative maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, liquid filling systems, and packaging machines.
Job Summary As a Maintenance Mechanic II, you will ensure that all equipment meets performance standards, document your work accurately, and follow safety protocols, including wearing a respirator in designated areas.
Main Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of equipment processes, diagnose problems, and apply solutions to keep operations running smoothly.
Work in the milling and filling departments, mastering fabrication techniques using shop equipment such as shears, brakes, and cutting tools.
Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits and VFDs, adjusting performance as necessary.
Keep detailed records of completed tasks, ensuring all work is performed accurately and on schedule.
Promote a safe, organized environment by upholding high craftsmanship standards and supporting team efforts.
Requirements
Proficient in electrical systems, general mechanical repairs, and welding/fabrication processes.
Skilled in SAP transactions, MS Office, and PC operations.
Ability to read and understand repair instructions for manufacturing equipment and shop tools (grinders, band saws, drill presses).
Capable of operating a forklift safely (certification not required).
High school education (Diploma or GED).
