Job Description Scope: Delivery of comprehensive psychosocial services to cancer patients and their families and caregivers.
Responsibilities
Utilize advanced interpersonal skills appropriately and effectively
Conduct psychosocial assessments
Facilitate and implement therapeutic interventions
Demonstrate advanced knowledge and effective use of resources
Actively participate in continuity of care planning
Maintain accurate documentation
Supervise students
Provide patient education
Qualifications
Master’s degree in social work required
LMSW license in the state of LA required; LCSW preferred. Licensure must be active and in good standing.
Counseling experience in oncology or a related field through previous job, internship, or volunteer program.
OSW‑C encouraged
Location: Shreveport, LA Salary: $40,000.00 – $42,000.00
