This is a general posting for RN positions in the Pre‑Op, Post‑Op, PACU department at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Once you apply, a Talent Acquisition Specialist will connect with you within 48 hours to discuss your areas of interest and preferred hours. Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Nursing required
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; must obtain within 8 years of hire
Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan
BLS certification required by completion of core orientation
Critical care or ALS and other certifications may be required for some RNs, unit specific
Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, manage the care delivery for patients throughout the length of stay to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge.
Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation, and evaluation; coordinate care provided by other professionals.
Delegate selected acts, tasks or functions that fall within the scope of professional nursing practice and the abilities of patient care assistants and universal service assistants.
Document and communicate during each tour of duty the patient’s response to care provided, consumption of resources and anticipated needs.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze data from various computer systems and equipment to set an appropriate plan of action.
Continuously communicate verbally, in writing and electronically.
Perform mental/visual fatigue tasks requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods; operate personal computer or CRT 40–70 % of the time.
Regularly lift bulky or moderately heavy weights (up to 50 pounds); occasionally assist with heavier tasks or expend effort in pushing, pulling or otherwise handling material, equipment and other objects.
