Patient Care Tech - Cardiothoracic ICU - Nights
INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma’s largest not‑for‑profit health system, offers a full‑time Patient Care Tech position for nights. The shift is 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m. You’ll work with our Cardiothoracic ICU team, providing exceptional care to patients in one of the most trusted health systems in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities
Perform personal patient care tasks such as mouth care, bed making, bathing, perineal care, hair care, shaving, back rubs, and emptying bedpans or urinals.
Assist with patient safety issues, including ensuring identification arm‑band presence, adherence to fall protocol, use of restraints, patient positioning, and promotion of a rest‑conducive environment.
Execute treatments such as urinary catheter care, enema administration, preparation of sitz baths, compress application, and assistance with ambulation.
Retrieve and transport medications as directed.
The Patient Care Tech reports to an assigned leader and works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role may involve physical restraint of patients according to the Behavior Management Technique System and may require respiratory fit testing. The position may expose staff to infections, blood, body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals; standard precautions must be followed. Occasional X‑ray exposure and low‑level anesthetic gases may occur. All applicants will receive consideration regardless of protected status as defined by federal or state law, including veteran or disability status.
Qualifications
Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days.
Completion of a recognized nursing assistant course, an accredited nursing program, Nursing Fundamentals, or Introduction to Nursing course with a skills lab or clinical rotation, or enrollment in a CNA training program within 45 days and completion within 90 days of hire. Verification required via transcript or official notice from the accredited program.
Alternatively, 3 months of employment in an INTEGRIS patient‑care area with training and observation for nursing assistant duties, or 12 months of nursing assistant experience in an acute‑care, nursing‑home, home‑care, or long‑term‑care setting; or prior hospital corpsman medical training in the military.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Completion of department‑specific competencies during orientation.
In addition, the incumbent must operate an INTEGRIS‑owned vehicle or a personal vehicle (non‑INTEGRIS owned), which requires a current driver’s license from the state of residence and an acceptable driving record for insurance purposes.
