Overview of Responsibilities As a Produce Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will live our name daily. All produce is farm fresh and must be handled, prepared, and merchandised properly to deliver the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. Your responsibilities include stocking the Produce department—presenting product, facing, filling, and organizing items according to the Produce Department schematics while ensuring accurate tags and pricing. You will also properly stock and rotate merchandise, trim, water, and merchant products to maintain freshness and quality, control inventory to maximize product availability, and answer customer questions in a friendly, helpful manner. Restricted Tasks for Team Members Under 18
Using a knife (other than safety cutters)
Using a ladder
Operating garbage or cardboard compactor
Operating any motor/electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks)
Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time
Qualifications
Be at least 16 years of age
Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
Respect others and uphold Sprouts’ high‑level code of ethics within our culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
Ability to perform repetitive activities and multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the workday; lifting, stacking, and maneuvering heavy objects up to 50 lbs.; walking up to 5 miles in an 8‑hour shift; maneuvering a utility cart holding 20 lbs. with a force up to 35 lbs. for up to 2 hours
Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned
Pay Range The pay range for this position is $17.20 – $23.20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
