Position Summary Plans, directs, and coordinates nutritional services and care for inpatients; establishes policies and procedures for patient nutritional care; supports Food Services and Nursing Departments with education regarding patient nutritional care; assists in establishing of policies and procedures for food safety/sanitation, preparation, distribution.
Pay Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Dietitian with the State Board of Examiners of Dietitians
Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, including familiarity with methods of teaching, principles of education, and nutritional requirements of individuals of varying ages and degrees of health.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames.
