Job Description AECOM is actively seeking a Collections Construction Inspector to be located in Orange County, California. The inspector will work on various construction projects for the Orange County Sanitation District through our staff augmentation contract and manage a list of CIP and small collections projects. The inspector shall be familiar with heavy collections and have municipal wastewater treatment plant experience. Nights and weekends will happen on occasion. The inspector will be responsible for establishing quality inspection programs and processes that ensure company and customer requirements are met, ensuring all contract documents are represented by working drawings and specifications are properly executed.
Responsibilities
Under minimal direction, relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
Provides on‑the‑job training to new employees.
Monitors conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma plus 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid driver’s license required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites. Selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience with water and sewer conveyance and treatment projects.
Familiarity with construction document management systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
