Base pay range : $147,000.00/yr - $196,000.00/yr

Position Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a
Project Executive
to oversee large-scale commercial construction projects on behalf of our client. This leadership role is responsible for full contract execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction across multiple projects and locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing high-value commercial projects, mentoring teams, and driving results that align with organizational goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all project team members including Project Administrators, Accountants, APMs, PMs, and Superintendents—potentially across multiple sites and geographies
Lead and champion safety and risk management initiatives
Mentor and support career development of Project Managers and Superintendents
Monitor and manage all project financials, reporting directly to executive leadership
Handle employee development updates and performance discussions with the Vice President
Interpret and apply contract terms and conditions to manage project risks and business issues
Lead subcontractor and vendor negotiations, including development of Subcontract and PO exhibits
Collaborate on scheduling plans to align with energy savings and project goals
Manage change orders, billing processes, and monthly financial forecasts and reports
Lead monthly project meetings and track the status of open risks
Serve as the primary client contact and project lead
Ensure project completion aligns with financial and sustainability goals
Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders
Represent the company professionally within the industry and community
Promote company values and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Qualifications
Experience:
8–10+ years in commercial construction projects valued at $20M+
Experience in healthcare, higher education, life sciences, advanced tech, or corporate office builds
Design-build experience preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
Field experience within core market segments
Leadership in managing complex, multi-layered project environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore (or similar), and scheduling tools like Primavera
Familiarity with lean construction methodologies such as Pull Planning or Last Planner System
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to maintain focus and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Travel Requirements
Frequent travel to job sites and regional offices as needed
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Office and site-based work, including prolonged desk time and occasional physical activity
Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds
Occasional kneeling, standing, or repetitive motion
