What You’ll Do
Lead and supervise a team of power construction equipment operators and laborers to complete power line installation, repair, and maintenance projects.
Coordinate daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Operate heavy machinery such as cranes, excavators, and bucket trucks, as needed for complex or priority tasks.
Read and apply blueprints, specifications, and job plans for accurate power line installation.
Conduct safety briefings and enforce compliance with all federal, state, and company safety regulations.
Inspect job sites for hazards and implement corrective measures to ensure safety.
Communicate project updates, challenges, and progress to supervisors and stakeholders.
Restore worksites by managing backfill, leveling the ground, and replacing removed materials.
Resolve issues related to power line installation or equipment operation in real‑time.
Train and mentor team members to improve skills and job performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
Be 18 years of age or older.
Authorization to work in the United States.
High school diploma, GED equivalent, and 5 years of experience operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment and supervising crews.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience operating backhoes and other heavy equipment, including at least 1 to 3 years in a leadership or foreman role.
Valid Class A CDL with no manual transmission restrictions.
Strong mechanical aptitude for performing minor equipment repairs and maintenance.
OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification (preferred).
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and work orders.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing project conditions.
Physical ability: operate vehicles and heavy machinery, lift >55 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform other required physical tasks.
Wage Range $25.00 - $36.00 per hour.
