As a supervisor of payroll tax on the HR Systems and Control team, you’ll be the subject‑matter expert (SME) related to Payroll Tax. In this role, you’ll lead all aspects of payroll practices, investigate and resolve complex payroll tax problems, communicate resolutions to internal and external customers and tax authorities, supervise a staff of Payroll Tax reporting specialists, including employment decisions, performance management, compensation and reward planning, and employee development. You’ll also be responsible for all regulatory requirements for payroll taxes and year‑end processing (W‑2 and agency reporting) related to all Progressive payroll companies and employees.
This is a hybrid role. You’ll be required to work from headquarters in Mayfield Village, OH.
Must‑have Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years payroll tax experience
OR an associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Business Management and a minimum of 4 years payroll tax experience
Preferred Skills
Extensive tax knowledge regarding Federal, FUTA, SU, State, and Local taxes.
Recent tax filing experience and experience with ADP MasterTax.
Experience coaching, counseling, or mentoring payroll talent
Compensation
$72,100 - $96,100/year
Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
