Position Title Electrophysiology Technician

Department Overview The Electrophysiology (EP) Laboratory is a specialized unit focused on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias through advanced electrophysiological procedures. The department includes two dedicated EP labs, each equipped with state‑of‑the‑art mapping systems, fluoroscopy, and ablation technologies to support both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Position Information

Salary or Pay Range:

$61.24/hr – $79.21/hr

Shift (Work Schedule):

7:30am – 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the performance of all EP invasive and interventional procedures (EPS, ablation, PM, ICD, lead extraction, loop recorder, etc.).

Maintain the quality and safety of the work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR.

American Heart Association (AHA) or UCDH‑issued Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire.

Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialists (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

1 year experience as a CVT tech – coursework considered.

Ability to perform all roles of the EP Scrub Tech.

Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiology.
