Job Description
Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Achieve front‑end performance goals and best practices. Drive the department in reaching sales and profit goals. Monitor quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all functions and day‑to‑day operations. Demonstrate company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities
Promote trust and respect among associates.
Communicate company, department, and job‑specific information to associates.
Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals.
Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering product questions.
Maintain knowledge of products and make suggestions.
Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
Manage cash control, sales and cash items and records.
Schedule front‑end associates to provide adequate coverage.
Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget, profit and loss reviews.
Develop and implement a department business plan.
Responsible for entry‑level store hiring.
Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions; note discrepancies.
Schedule daily, weekly and monthly price changes.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
Practice preventive maintenance.
Notify management of accidents.
Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity.
Oversee efficient operations of all functions.
Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
Supervise and coach direct reports, complete reviews and provide feedback.
Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications Minimum
Effective communication skills.
Basic math knowledge.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Retail or customer service experience.
Desired
High school diploma or equivalent.
Management experience.
Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).
