Network Engineer V – Extreme Certified with Security Clearance
Sunayu, LLC has an exciting new opportunity to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC). We are looking for professionals to help us manage and modernize the IT infrastructure that drives world‑class language instruction for the DLIFLC’s diverse academic community.
Basic Qualifications
Experience working with network infrastructure, preferably with a focus on Extreme Networks products and solutions.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security.
Extreme Networks certification highly recommended.
Certified to work on Extreme Networks products, such as switches, routers, access points, and network management tools.
Experience managing network‑related projects, including planning, implementation, and documentation (network upgrades, migrations, infrastructure expansions).
Combination of experience and skills with:
VMware NSX: Install, Configure, Manage (V6.2)
Ruckus Layer 2 Switches / Wireless Controller / Wireless Access Points
Palo Alto Networks Firewall (PA‑7050 / PA‑3060 / PA‑3260 / PA‑5450 / WildFire/URL Filtering)
Brocade MPLS Implementation – Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches
Cisco Networks switches and routers
Aruba Networks – Wireless Controllers / Access Points / Airwave / ClearPass
Ciena 100G OME 6500 DWDM System
Extreme Networks Layer 2/3, MLXE Switches / Extreme IQ / OSPF, BGP, and MPLS
SolarWinds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends
Education & Certifications:
BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5+ years experience, or AA/AS degree with 7+ years experience, or 9+ years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
Extreme Networks Certification – IAT Level II and/or CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP plus applicable CE/OS Certification.
