About The Role Responsible for overseeing the payroll processing function, performing payroll analysis, posting journal entries to the general ledger, reviewing account reconciliations, and managing license accruals.
What You'll Do
Supervise and coordinate the payroll processing function, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees.
Review and approve payroll data, including hours worked, pay rates, licenses, taxes and deductions.
Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Review and post payroll-related journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of payroll transactions.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Analyze payroll and payroll-related general ledger accounts to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to payroll.
Prepare and submit required payroll reports, including tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Develop and implement training programs to improve payroll knowledge and skills.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Participate in special projects, such as payroll system implementations, audits, and process improvements.
Location San Juan, PR
What You'll Bring Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and analysis. 1+ year of supervisory experience.
